Historic Eidem Farm


The Historic Eidem Farm is a 19-acre living history site that invites visitors to step back in time and experience life on a farm during the early 1900s. Located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, the farm was homesteaded by the Eidem family over a century ago and is now operated by the City of Brooklyn Park to preserve the community's agricultural heritage.




Spring on the Farm Kicks Off the Season

Join the Historic Eidem Farm for their season opening celebration, Spring on the Farm, on May 18th from 11 AM to 2 PM. This is a great opportunity to explore the farm, learn about its history, and enjoy some fun activities for the whole family.

Throughout the summer season (May 20th to October 3rd), the Historic Eidem Farm offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. Here are some of the things you can do at the farm:

  • Get hands-on experience with farm chores: Learn about traditional farming practices and participate in activities like gardening, planting, and caring for farm animals.
  • Explore the farm's rich cultural history: Take a guided tour of the restored farmstead, which includes the beautifully preserved Victorian farmhouse, barn, and outbuildings.
  • Play in the dirt: Let the kids loose in the open space of the farm and enjoy some good old-fashioned outdoor fun.
  • Explore the gardens: Learn about the plants that were grown on the farm during the early 1900s and see what's growing in the season's gardens.

Historic Eidem Farm is open for general admission during the following times:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 10 AM to 4 PM
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 10 AM to 7 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM to 3 PM

The farm is only open for private rentals and special events from September to May.
